As soon as I saw the fluffy white clouds that rolled in this morning I knew that for today's picture I'd be shooting a sunset. So in the late afternoon missmkting and I set out on our hunt for a good vantage point. I wanted to shoot from somewhere up high so we chose Hamilton Hill as the destination. Unsurprisingly, it was almost impossible to find a clear space that wasn't obscured by the houses to get a good view of the sunset, until we came a cross this one block of land that hadn't been developed yet. I took a few shots of the sun and the beautiful clouds, and then I saw this grass that had taken over this block, and I just felt that I must take a few photos of the grass in front of the setting sun. In the end these grass shots were the ones that came out the best. I guess the lesson here is that, while it's important to have a plan and a goal, it is also good to remain mindful of your surroundings, and no matter how focused you are on your goal always be flexible and be prepared to pivot (fancy startup slang for "change of plans"), you might just end up with something better.
