: 0 Throwback Thursday. Goin' right back to the late 60s/early 70s in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. As I've mentioned recently, mum was quite a cool cat, here she is looking totally laid back, ciggie elegantly poised, whilst hanging out with a local tribesman. When I was born in 1971 mum and dad took their newborn back into the highlands and the locals were flabbergasted at this white haired blob. The chief of the tribe was so impressed with mum's blonde hair that he offered to buy her from dad for 30 pigs which was an extremely generous offer. Her hair would have gone into making a fabulous mask. I'd kinda like to see that. Cultural appropriation can cut both ways perhaps!
