: 125 Did you know that you have permission to be a fit mother? To reserve time for yourself, amongst all of the chaos kids throw at you? Well, here’s your permission slip. 📝
I used to think it was selfish. Mom judgement was real before I became one. But then I realized that in order to be a great mother, I HAD to feel great. See, I wanted to be able to keep up with Hank. To play with him, carry him on my shoulders and chase him around the park. That’s what I had planned before I had him.
Once he was born, it was all about survival. I was tired and worn down...only if I didn’t FORCE myself to have some me time. And for me, that time was spent in the gym. Getting my heart rate up, losing the baby weight, and working on building back the muscle is lost during pregnancy. As it turns out, that “me time” made me less tired and in turn, made me a better mother for Hank.
So you see, making time for you and your goals isn’t selfish. Actually, it’s the most selfLESS thing you could do for your kids. Take time today to have some “you time”. Move your body. It will thank you and so will your kids!
