: 15 # 5 of the 10 Questions to ask about your Web Design project: 👉🏼 Do You Want A Responsive Website?
What is a Responsive Website, and why is this important?⠀
A responsive website adjusts or responds to the device it’s being viewed on.
If you were to view a website on different devices at the same time (i.e. with a Desktop computer, a laptop, a tablet, and a smartphone) - a responsive website will adjust and display correctly on all these devices - you will have different views of the same website.
Why Is It Important?
Now any website that isn't responsive will look good on a desktop computer, but very distorted on other devices.
This will limit the number of people who spend time on your site, and thus the number of leads you get through your site.⠀(Swipe to see what one looks like)
And again - Smart phones are the first thing many people look at when they wake up and the last thing they look at before falling asleep. Right? (raise your hand if that's you 🤳🏽🙋🏽♀️don't be shy😂)
So it’s no longer what we refer to as “the third screen” (I.e., after TV and computers) it’s really the first screen.⠀
Let me take it home - in #Nigeria, there are over 91.6 million internet users, and more than 95% are mobile internet users. And according to a report by Jumia Nigeria, about 71% of their website visitors use their mobile phones
Getting a responsive design ensures your site will attract, serve and delight this 👐🏽 many mobile internet users, .
And your site will make the leap right along with the latest and greatest device advances the future has in store for us. You won’t have to keep redesigning.
