: 12 Although I’m taking a step away from heavy weight training for a little while (I explained why in my last post) I still wanted to share my small strength win from the other day. - To me pull-ups are one of those badass movements in the gym, especially for women because it requires a lot of upper body strength. The other day I managed 4 sets of 5kg weighted chin ups which is a massive win for me! - Pull-ups fall into my arsenal of core moves that I build most of my workouts from. Whether I am looking to lose fat or gain muscle I will use this same list of movements: ⁃squats ⁃deadlifts ⁃bench press ⁃pull ups ⁃overhead press ⁃rows These form the base of my workouts and I will build accessory movements around these core moves. Your training should not change when your goals change. A goal of losing weight does not mean you need to all of a sudden perform high rep plyometrics, and ditch heavy squats. Personally, in my training I like to stick to the tried and tested movements, performing 3-4 sets of either 4-6 reps or 8-12 reps. - Wearing @gymshark @gymsharkwomen

: 1 Day 3 in the books and very happy with the results tonight!! Stretched out for 10min!! Then main lift included 7x1 heavy as possible power cleans 95lbs,115lbs,135lbs,155lbs,175lbs, 185lbs (failed). This 185 is haunting me since the festivus games in April ugh my pb is 180lbs and I always hit easily and when get to 185lbs its always so close. I will get 185lbs not giving up!! Main workout included a benchmark WOD which is called The chief which is consists of 5cycles with 3min work each cycle with 1min rest after each cycle is completed of a 19min is up. Did this workout twice and both times rx, first time 200 reps second time 198reps, 3rd times the charm 234 reps 13 completed rounds and all rounds I did the power cleans unbroken.
