: 3 🌟MUMHOODER OF THE WEEK 🌟
Kicking off a new series of getting to know our Mumhooders we have the brilliant Aly from @allmumstalk - London mum of 2 (a cheeky threenager and a three month old baby), blogger and social media consultant. We asked Aly some questions about exercise and life after having babies 🙌
1️⃣ Why is exercise important to you?
It’s one of the few things that motivates me to get out of the comfort zones most of us tend to build so easily; I could say I possibly find exercising more efficient for my mind than for my body. .
2️⃣. When do you like to exercise?
Whenever I find a good excuse. I’m one of those people who can’t exercise on their own, I feel I need to be part of a group wherever I go: to the gym or even when I’m going jogging, I’d rather have a friend with me (that’s why I enjoy classes more than exercising in my own living-room) .
3️⃣ How have you stayed healthy after having your baby?
Well, despite the occasional midnight snack attacks, I’ve tried to remain as active as much as I could, usually going for a buggy run with another mum or a Mumhood class .
4️⃣What’s been the most surprising thing for you about having a baby?
That when i stopped worrying about entering my previous size 0 pair of jeans, I actually started to love my new body. By watching my children grow, I’m learning that my postpartum body is a beautiful thing. It creates life and that is enough reason to love and embrace it. (YES YES YES ALY 💕)
5️⃣What are your top tip for new mums?
💦Drink more water. Seriously, your skin will love you for it. .
👶 Enjoy the baby-boom. It goes in the blink of an eye.
🏃♀️No matter how tired you are, go for a run, a long walk or a class as often as you can, it will definitely help you clear your mind.
Thanks Aly - you are an inspiration to us all 🙌💪😘
